Wedding Invitations... MAILED! (this just got real)

Our wedding invitations went out earlier this week! We are getting married at a venue with some history so  we decided to mail them with vintage stamps. They actually cost us less than buying custom stamps from Zazzle and I think they looked much better.

My fiance made piles of stamps that equaled 66 cents and I used a glue stick to stick them to the envelope. The stamps also gave me a history lesson, because I had to look up who some of the people on the stamps were.

Adding up the stamps and gluing them on was a lot of work but my work was not done there... When I took them to the post office they made me hand cancel my own stamps. It was a good thing though because it meant I placed the ink where I wanted it so it didn't mess up the stamps.

I was really glad we decided on vintage stamps, I loved the way they looked!

Personalized Butterfly Card

Remember the baby blocks shower gift I made? Well that little girl turned 1 this weekend!
Time is just flying by!

My fiance designed & made this card for her. If you had told me 5 years ago that the 2 of us would one day debate the placement of butterflies on a card for a baby... I would have said you were crazy. But that is exactly what we did!

I think we won't be buying cards anymore - I will be putting him to work more often!

Bridal Shower Invitations

I had been bothering my mom to let me help with my bridal shower- like a lot. She has told me over and over that I am not supposed to be involved in it at all and that she and my aunts do not need or want any help. After a few days of pleading she did cave and let me make the invites though :)

She gave me some ideas of what she wanted and let me run with it. They were very labor intensive but I am really happy with how they turned out!

I am already totally overwhelmed with all of my wedding projects, you would think that I would know I have no business trying to help with my own bridal shower... but I just can't help myself! I get it from my mama :)
